Accidental Death Benefit
Our Member/Spouse Accidental Death Benefit is an enduring part of Blessed Michael McGivney’s vision.
This benefit is given to all members and their spouses in the U.S. and Canada at no cost. Depending on your age, length of membership and whether you have a policy with the Knights, your Accidental Death Benefit starts at $1,500 and can be as much as $5,000.

Family Fraternal and Orphans Benefits
Our Family Fraternal Benefit offers a death benefit after a miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. We also offer guaranteed-issue life insurance coverage of members’ children under the age of 18, regardless of pre-existing medical conditions.
Continuing Blessed Michael McGivney’s legacy as “Defender of the Widow and Orphan,” our Orphan Benefit includes monthly payments of $500 for members’ orphaned children. In addition, this benefit provides $5,000 a year in college scholarships (up to $20,000).
Scholarships
The Knights of Columbus has given more than $1.5 million in college, university, graduate school and seminary scholarships. Almost all of these scholarships are exclusive to children of members.
